Profile of the Program:

The purpose of this department; able to make technical drawings by using art and technology for the arrangement of interior parts of buildings, have acquired the necessary knowledge and technical equipment for the realization of the spaces they have designed at international standards, have self-confidence in designing and working independently, and can also adapt to be a good team player, aware of professional responsibilities and ethical rules, aims to train contemporary designers. In the Interior Design Program with a training period of 2 years, Computer Applications, Occupational Health and Safety, Material and Construction Knowledge, Professional and Technical Drawing, Furniture Production Techniques, Basic Design, Interior Design Project, Furniture Design Project, Portfolio and Presentation Preparation Techniques, They take courses such as Materials and Construction Knowledge, Interior and Furniture History, Accessories and Product Design, Interior Textiles and Furnishings, Lighting and Acoustics. In addition, a total of 40 working days of internship work is done during the summer periods, allowing students to learn about practice and the functioning of the public and private sector markets.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples:

Students graduating from the Interior Design program, in line with the competencies they have gained; In the design departments of furniture and decoration workshops, as a project staff in restoration companies, as a drawing staff or designer in architecture and engineering offices, in model making offices, etc. they will be able to work as a manager, administrative assistant, authorized, controller in the sectors, as well as in the private sector as well as in government institutions with the title of technician.

Access to Further Studies:

If the graduates are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam given by ÖSYM, they can switch to 4-year undergraduate programs of universities or complete their undergraduate studies at a university abroad. If they take the Vertical Transfer Exam and get a successful score, within the quota of the universities; They can graduate with a vertical transfer to the departments of Handicrafts, Traditional Turkish Handicrafts, Traditional Turkish Arts, Interior Architecture, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Architecture, Restoration and Conservation and Illumination.
