The Turkey Disabled Sports Aid and Education Foundation (TESYEV) provides scholarships to disabled students who are pursuing associate, undergraduate, or postgraduate education at faculties, institutes, vocational schools, conservatories, or vocational schools, and who are committed to Atatürk's principles and reforms, have national feelings, possess a strong character, are trustworthy, and have demonstrated success, provided they meet the eligibility criteria listed below.
In determining the selection of scholarship recipients, factors such as the family's economic situation, the number of siblings and siblings attending school, the type of accommodation (dormitory or housing), the school or class attended, the entrance exam score, the school's entrance minimum-maximum score, courses taken during the academic program, grades, and overall GPA, as well as report cards, are taken into consideration.
Scholarships are disbursed during the 9-month academic period, from October of each year to the following June (inclusive), and no payments are made in other months.
Unless there are circumstances that prevent scholarship payments, such as academic failure or an improvement in financial circumstances, TESYEV scholarships are continued until the recipient graduates.
TESYEV scholarships are provided without any obligation. However, in cases of concealing facts, false statements, or similar reasons that prevent another deserving individual from receiving a scholarship or result in the unjust enrichment of the recipient, scholarship payments will be reclaimed along with legal interest. Therefore, before scholarship payments commence, a commitment letter is obtained from the scholarship recipient and their family, indicating their acceptance of the rules and consequences of the scholarship program.
